More About Verbs

Here are some basic things to keep in mind about verbs:

A sentence MUST contain at least one verb.

There may be more than one verb in a sentence:
James watches movies whenever he has time.

Some verbs have more than one part:
He should have been studying.
(Helping Verbs are those that come before the main verb.)

All of the forms of BE are called Linking Verbs:
be, am, is, are, was, were, been, being
